Be Your Own Beautiful Self

If you could switch brains with anyone in the world, who would it be?... this question of my mentor  Jomar Hilario  made me remember a brainy fun discussion that became emotional, with my family last Christmas morning. My son said “Nicola Tesla as long as I am not 30 years old.” My husband asked why; my son’s answer because: “Towards the end of his life in the 1930s, Tesla became reclusive, living alone in a New York City hotel room and only appearing occasionally to make unusual statements to the press. Because of his pronouncements and the nature of his work over the years Tesla gained a reputation in popular culture as the archetypal "mad scientist". AND he died penniless and in debt sometime in January, 1943.” I asked,”How did you know that?” his answer: WIKIPEDIA.COM; MOM… oooh☺; fun! Isn’t it?

My turn to answer the question: If you could switch brains with anyone in the world, who would it be? ... My answer; “no one…I am content with who I am.” My husband said…you big brain, conceited, brat… we all laughed at my husband’s reaction. But then I said; “definitely not, because if I could switch brain with anyone, then I wouldn’t be here with you, you will not be my husband (pointing at my husband) and you’re not my son (pointing at my son)… long silence…

Yes, it’s true I am content with who I am, with what I have, I wouldn’t switch brain with anyone even just one single breath of my life, because doing so means that they (my family now) wouldn’t be here with me. I would probably have another beautiful family as I have now, but it wouldn’t be the same as it is now. I am capable and can adapt change easily, as long as my family, the loves of my life are with me. We must remember that "by being yourself, you put something wonderful in the world that was not there before"...

But look at facebook comments of some members of the Jomar Hilario Mastery Group ; I think I am the only one who answered such...

Am I that different to most people? Am I that proud or conceited with who am I? I think not. I think, I am just happy to be me and content with who I am; I am proud and happy, the way God created me. My beautiful life is  what GOD gave me, I accept it with my whole being, I am grateful with who I am, with what I have. If I am different, then let it be, as long as I am my own beautiful self; but then again everybody is different, everyone has its own identity, don't you think?

Just Me Showing Up...

My Angel in May

A few years back, the same date as today, God sent me an angel and named him Francis. That was my happiest day; the day my son saw the light in this world. Being given the responsibility to be a vessel of creating another life is the most wonderful miracle that happened to me. The beauty of being a mother made me a complete woman. Today, my son is 15 years old; time passes by so quickly, I missed a lot of time away from him. But looking back and feeling sorry for all the moments away from him will not make our life any better, but cherishing our time together and spending it as best as we can is better. I am so grateful to God for all the blessings in our life especially for keeping my son safe and healthy, for giving me a wonderful son that every mother can dream of. Happy birthday, sweetheart, you're our Angel in May and all the days since you were given to us. 

Springtime is a universal growth, a season to celebrate motherhood; a reason May is dedicated to Mary, Our Blessed Mother who willingly accepts the role of motherhood to humanity. I am happy as wife and mother; like Mary, I willingly accepts and fulfill my responsibility of being a mother.

May is Mary's month, and I 

Muse at that and wonder why: 

Her feasts follow reason, 

Dated due to season-

Candlemas, Lady Day: 

But the Lady Month, May, 

Why fasten that upon her, 

With a feasting in her honor? 

Ask of her, the mighty mother: 

Her reply puts this other 

Question: What is Spring? 

Growth in every thing-

All things rising, all things sizing 

Mary sees, sympathizing 

With that world of good, 

Nature's motherhood.

Well but there was more than this:

Much, had much to say 

To offering Mary May.

A Beautiful Prayer

Forgiveness is one ticket to have a beautiful life; Forgiving those who've hurt you and forgiving yourself will make you feel better. What have you been stewing over lately? It's about time to forget it and move on. Once you commit to forgive and forget then move on with your life,you will be surprised at how fast it can happen.  Forgive others, forgive yourself, move on; a life free of grudge is beautiful: It will make you beautiful inside out.

Dear Lord, 

You raise me up into self-appreciation and beauty,

You fill my life with the beauty of this world;

You love me as I am, Oh Lord my God.

Thank You  for giving me a beautiful life,

Thank You for making my life beautiful inside out,

Thank you for making me worthy of Your love.

Let me reflect Your gentle loving spirit;

 In my voice and in my actions;

Grant me the serenity,

To accept the things I cannot change;

Courage to change the things I can,

Wisdom to know the difference

And to believe that I am worthy of your love.

It's a Beautiful Life

If I go back to college again, I'd concentrate on learning to write and speak before an audience. Nothing in life is more beautiful than the ability to communicate effectively. It's a beautiful life to be able to express and describe the beauty of this world.
