Wisdom is a clear understanding and realization; knowing how to discern right from wrong and knowing how to apply the truth in every situation.
Who can live without wisdom? We all need it. We must always pray to God to give us wisdom.
We have to pray, " Lord give me wisdom in all I do. Help me to walk in wisdom everyday."
Ten Good Ways to Walk in Wisdom
1. Be in the word of God. My son, pay attention to what I say. Remember my commands. Listen to wisdom, and do your best to understand... If you do this, you will understand what it means to respect the LORD, and you will come to know God. *Proverbs 2:1-2,5*
2. Pray for wisdom. Do any of you need wisdom? Ask God for it. He is generous and enjoys giving to everyone. So he will give you wisdom. *James 1:5*
3. Acknowledge the Lord in everything. With every step you take, think about what the Lord wants, and HE will help you go the right way. *Proverbs 3:6*
4. Walk in reverence of God. Wisdom begins with fear and respect for the LORD. Knowledge of the Holy One leads to understanding. *Proverbs 9:10*
5. Listen to wise people. Listen carefully to these words from the wise. "Pay attention to what I have learned." *Proverbs 22:17*
6. Value Wisdom above all. Try to get wisdom and understanding. Don’t forget my teaching or ignore what I say. Don’t turn away from wisdom, and she will protect you. Love her, and she will keep you safe. *Proverbs 4:5-6*
7. Walk in obedience. He gives good advice to honest people and shields those who do what is right. *Proverbs 2:7*
8. Be humble. Proud and boastful people will be shamed, but wisdom stays with those who are modest and humble. *Proverbs 11:2*
9. Love your neighbor. Stupid people say bad things about their neighbors. (Wise people know to be quiet.) *Proverbs 11:12*
10. Seek the wisdom of God, not the wisdom of the world. So what does this say about the philosopher, the law expert, or anyone in this world who is skilled in making clever arguments? God has made the wisdom of the world look foolish. This is what God in His wisdom decided: Since the world did not find Him through its own wisdom, He used the message that sounds foolish to save those who believe it. *1 Corinthians 1:20-21*
